A Review from Kathryn Everest, Director of Counseling at Fort Worth Independent School District:
What I love about Stephanie Lerner is her ability to teach on relevant counseling topics. Whether she is teaching about best small group practices, amazing classroom guidance lessons or the importance of school counselor accountability measures, she is knowledgeable and she connects with her audience because she is authentic.

As the week closes and I reflect over highlights of the week, I wanted to thank you for the presentation on psychoeducational groups. I am so impressed with the breadth and depth of your knowledge and experience. I had an observation with a student who was doing an individual session at Bowie and we referred to the format that you had talked about group – e.g. including a skills lesson to build up the knowledge base rather than simply exploring feelings. I think the students really appreciated your comments. Thank you also for the flexibility in including the higher education settings in the presentation.

Thank you so much for the powerful information on groups that you provided during the TCA conference. That session was certainly one of the most helpful that I attended. I have only done one group at a time and would like to fill my schedule with more groups and fewer individual sessions in order to serve more students.
